Bridge  Bridge Players Group – Tuesday afternoon for ladies only. Meets 12:30pm on the first and third Tuesdays of the month at various locations. Leader: Dianne Batch

Wednesday afternoon meets 12:30pm on the second and fourth Wednesday of the month, starting in September, at the Westfield Center in Trenton.  Leader:  Bebe Hartman

Gourmet  Couples Gourmet – Food enthusiast members prepare an assigned recipe and meet at the host home on selected Saturday’s to enjoy dinner along with stimulating discussions.  Leader:  Janice Acker

Symphony  Detroit Symphony – Series of six or twelve programs. Meet at the Holiday Inn on Northline & I-75 in Southgate at 9:30am and carpool to Friday Coffee Concerts and enjoy lunch!  Leader: Mary Sue Sickafus

Euchre  Euchre – It’s engaging, it’s electrifying, it’s EUCHRE! Group meets every other Monday at the Sportsmen’s Den off Sibley Road in Riverview at 1:00pm.  Leader: Bea Cassidy

 

Fisher Theatre Playgoers – Meet for a noon brunch at the Holiday Inn, Southgate, and carpool to the Fisher Theatre for the Sunday matinee series.  Leader:  Jean Carnahan 

Hilberry Theater Group – Saturday matinee performance goers, purchasing season tickets in support of Wayne State’s theatre and dance productions. If unable to commit to the entire season, a substitute list is available in case a season ticket holder cannot attend. Leader: Mae Axelrood

Open Book Theater Group – Attend the first Saturday of each production at Open Book Theater, 1621 West Road, Trenton. Seating is pre-assigned and can be ordered online here.  Group attendees congregate in the lobby before the show and generally sit together. Parking is free in the lot north of the building. Leader: Madeleine Jones

Great Decisions   Great Decisions – (Topical discussions from Foreign Policy Magazine) Study current world issues at the Southgate Library on the fourth Tuesdays in alternate months at 7:00pm. Leader: Jean Carnahan

Literature  Daytime Literature – Join the group that travels the literary world every first Friday of the month at 1:00pm at various locations. 2018-2019 schedule:  Oct 5 Autumn by Ali Smith; Nov 2 A Piece of the World by Cristina Baker Kline; Dec 7 The Nest by Cynthia d’Aprix-Sweeney; Apr 5 Blueprint by Barbara Delinsky; May 3 Beautiful Music by Michasel Zadoorian; and Jun 7 The Favorite Sister by Jessica Knoll. Literature 1  Evening Literature – If evening reading is your thing, travel across the literary world each fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:30pm at the Southgate Library on alternate months.  2018-2019 schedule:  Oct 23 Chilbury Ladies Chair by Jennifer Ryan; Dec 4 My Italian Bulldozer by Alexander McCall Smith; Feb 26 Any Book of Your Choice by James Baldwin; Apr 23 My Own Words by Ruth Bader Ginsburg; and Jun 25 Warlight by Michael Ondaatje.  Leader: Jean Carnahan

 

Meet “N” Eat – Meets 6:00pm on the fourth Tuesday monthly at homes or selected restaurants. Summer luncheon program on the third Tuesday in June, July and August.  Leader: Dianne Batch


Mentoring Group – New group that will meet as needed to plan community outreach activities to mentor young women early in their careers. Interested in planning or participating? Contact leader:  Sheila Blair

Needle Arts  Needle Arts – ‘Everything Legal with a Needle’ meets in members homes on third Friday’s at 9:30am with lunch afterwards.  Leader: Carol Sniderman

 

Out & About Group – Members meet monthly on the third Thursday at 6:00pm at a pre-determined restaurant to explore local cuisine.  Leader: Deb Kennedy

 

 

STEM Savvy Group – Plans the annual May STEM Savvy conference and meets monthly on Wednesday at Riverview Library at 1:30pm.  Leader: Jackie Hector
